~We need to have The Christmas Song OFF PAPER by Oct. 30. Lynda Cromar has it on a CD or learning tape. Contact Lynda at

~Please bring your WHITE GLOVES to rehearsal so we can practice with them.

SIGN-UP Sheet for PUEBLO PERFORMANCE is on the front table. If you can’t come, please draw a line through your name. If you can come, please initial by your name so we know you’ve seen the sign-up sheet. Thanks.

Also, please sign up to help prepare the NUT ORDERS on Nov 3. Many hands make light work! You don’t have to stay all day. Even a couple of hours really helps.

See Cathy Stevens for extra roster copies ($2.50 each). New members, if you don't have a mailbox yet, be sure to get your (free) roster from Cathy before they're all gone!!

~ Cindy Houston. Cell phone, 303-898-9073

Peggie Watson asks that you "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! IMMEDIATELY OR SOONER, IF POSSIBLE" update her information. The man who has her old phone number is elderly, in poor health, and is not enjoying receiving multiple wrong-number calls from us. Her current information is: 303.663.3347 home, 4487 Charing Drive Castle Rock, CO 80104

Directory correction: Page 3, under Music Team. The Performance Coordinator is Sharon Spalding (303-986-6371).

PLEASE MAKE ALL CORRECTIONS AS SOON AS YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THEM! Remember, Corollary #17 of Murphy’s Law says: "Information about a Skyline member you have never contacted and see no reason to ever contact is the information you will need urgently the day after you delete your ecomm!" (How about that Murphy? Nostradamas had nothing on him!)

~ MARY ALICE Vaudrin has had surgery and will be out for 5 weeks. (She’s doing well.) Get well soon, Mary Alice!

~ Theresa Trollinger reports that LAURA HUDSON is doing well. "Laura is not having any significant discomfort and is able to rest quite easily. She will have to be face down for 4 weeks, at 90% of the time to regain the vision she has lost from the problem. But her quartet will be sending her new music to learn! Plus I will record the chorus sessions so that she doesn't get too far behind---at her request. She plans to be back in time for the Christmas show! If you want to send cards, Ron can read them to her! Her address (as requested by some of you) is: 2667 Gray Street, Wheatridge, CO 80214"

^ From Mel Horgan: "Kay Coates, from High Country, is looking for young singers, ages 6-24, to form a quartet in the Aurora area. She is the director of a YWIH chorus, "Starshine Chorus," and would like to encourage anyone who has a daughter, niece, granddaughter, etc. who lives in the Aurora area, to consider joining the chorus or forming a quartet. Please give her a call at: 303-699-4769."

~ ^From Mel Horgan "Crosstown Friends quartet and Denver Mountainaires chorus will be singing at George Washington High School on Oct 23, 2001 for their fall concert. Priscilla Shaw, the vocal music teacher at GW, is extremely excited to have the groups on the concert and has 2 quartets developing from her school. The men have worked with the boys since last spring and Mel Horgan has been working with the girls’ quartet, Same & 4-Tune, since September. The girls are looking forward to hearing Crosstown Friends sing for them on this coming Tuesday night and have promised to come to visit Skyline and share their songs with you. A big thanks to Crosstown Friends and the Mountainaires for actively supporting the YWIH and the YMIH programs."

^ The Aurora Singers, a mixed-gender chorus who performed just before Skyline at the Zoo last Saturday, and whose display table was next to ours, is looking for new male members. If any of you know of someone in the men's chorus who might have time to be involved with two groups, please contact Laurel Laumann (303-361-2910). they rehearse on Tuesday evenings.

~ ^In the interest of fairness, Carol Baker would like everyone to know that Applebee’s did not participate in the "Dine-Out" benefit because on September 24, before the Dine for America program was initiated, Applebee's gave $1,000,000 to the American Red Cross Relief Fund. They also have a "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" program where customers can purchase paper American flags in each of our restaurants for a $1 (or hopefully more) donation. 100% of the proceeds from the flag sales will go to the Red Cross; Applebee's is paying for the printing of the flags. Through this program, they hope to raise another $1 million for relief efforts.

^ Wendy Moran: "Is anyone interested in going in on an ad for Skyline in the "Young Voices"concert choir (formerly known as the "Littleton Children's Chorale") "Viewbook"?
